Christmas has always been my favorite part of the year to travel solo. Earlier, I’d just move around the country, but this December I’m planning something different. This December, I’m taking my first ever solo trip abroad! After much research, I’ve decided to celebrate the merriest time of the year in Germany, just so that I can frolic in the snow while drinking mulled wine and singing carols. My family’s a little apprehensive about me going by myself. This is a whole new country I’m planning on roaming around solo after all. To ease things out, my father has got me the Standard Chartered Multi-Currency Forex card. That way, I can travel completely cashless and not worry about exchanging money.

Berlin’s my city of choice. I’m going to spend my days exploring the capital’s famous Christmas markets, namely Winter World on Potsdamer Platz and the Alexanderplatz market. I can already see myself gorging on plates of brätwurst, chocolate laden crepes and gingerbread candies, while posing with glittering lights everywhere. I know the markets are going to be swarming with people, so walking around cash-free is definitely safer. My Standard Chartered Multi-Currency Forex card is accepted virtually everywhere and is super easy to top up as I can do it online.

After Berlin, I want to try and visit London as well. Thanks to my Forex card, I won’t have to worry about exchanging my euros for pounds. Fingers crossed, I’ll still have money left after partying it up in Berlin. London’s beautiful around the winter season. I’ve heard so much about Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch a showing of A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic as well. London’s Christmas lights are world renowned, especially the display over Oxford Street. That’s where I also plan to shop till I drop! Needless to say, I’ll be keeping my Standard Chartered Multi-Currency Forex card close. After all, there’s no better way to travel cash-free and stress-free!
