February is the best time of year to visit Nashik’s vineyards: the grapes are ripe for picking, the weather is pleasant, and it’s time for SulaFest, the popular music and wine festival that’s held in the Sula vineyards every year. This year’s edition takes place from Fri February 3 to Sun February 5, 2017.

The three-day event is known for its crowds, carnival atmosphere, music performances, and bustling bazaar, which has stalls offering everything from fast food to tarot card reading. For those interested in learning about wine, there are tasting tours around the vineyard and grape-stomping experiences. And for those who prefer to kick back and relax, there are foot massages.

But mostly, SulaFest is about the music. The complete list of acts hasn’t been announced yet, but the line-up includes a mix of indie bands and electronic acts such as The Ska Vengers, electro-pop project Your Chin, and DJ Nucleya. Camp at the festival site (only 300m from the amphitheatre) or check into a hotel close by; there are a number of accommodation in Nashik city, 30min away.
