We’ve got a good one for you, today. If you’ve ever wondered what an erupting volcano sounds like (and who hasn’t?), this clip might help. Recorded in 2009 by scientists studying Mount Redoubt in Alaska, USA, this sound is the build-up to a massive eruption.
According to scientists at Stanford University, these sounds were actually “an accelerating series of earthquakes leading up to each of the volcano’s eruptions”. The volcano sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before. Click below to listen:
